The dreaded B200 Error on your Canon Printer usually indicates that the print head has died! Before you go trashing the printer or buying a new one try some of the following suggestions. Next method to try is to reload the printers drivers as the B200 error code can be caused in some cases by a corrupted Driver.

Phase #1:

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug from the power source.
  2. Open the printer cover to reveal the ink cartridges.
  3. Remove the Pixma MP560 cartridges – PGI-220BK and CLI-221.
  4. Carefully remove the printhead from the printer.
  5. Clean the printhead along with the ink cartridges.

How to fix the B200 Error on a Canon MX870 Printer

  1. Turn the printer off and back on.
  2. Unplug the printer, wait 10-15 minutes for it to cool down then plug it back in and turn it on.
  3. Take the print cartridges out, remove the print head, clean it, replace it, replace the cartridges, turn it back on.
